Project Overview:

Designed and developed a continuing medical education (CME) video platform for Cancer Insights: News from UPMC Cancer Centers, published through OncLive and Physicians’ Education Resource (PER) on the HCPLive Network. The platform delivered oncology case study content across three specialties — Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, and Surgical Oncology — each represented by a featured KOL from the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute.

The carousel navigation organized videos by specialty and physician, with each track linking to case study titles and supplementary snapshot articles. A program director panel featured Nancy E. Davidson, MD, with a replay option and full bio. Supporting elements included a CME evaluation button, PDF download, and goals and objectives section — all required components for an accredited CME activity.

Two distinct design layouts were developed for the project, showcasing the evolution of the interface from a more traditional sidebar-driven layout to a cleaner, more modern side-by-side presentation with integrated physician thumbnails and “Click for Bio” functionality — a clear demonstration of iterative design thinking in a highly regulated content environment.
